Level Of Activity
Easy:
Expectations:
- Tours stay in just one city.
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time during museum visits or city tours.
- Shorter travel days.
- Walking typically on flat terrain; some stairways sometimes without handrails; elevators sometimes available.
Appropriate for:
- Travelers in good health with overall good mobility, and who are comfortable participating in at least three hours of activity per day.
Moderate:
Expectations:
- Long touring days with many full-day motor coach excursions.
- Standing and walking for long periods of time during city tours, museum visits, and/or outdoor activities.
- Walking over sometimes difficult terrain (e.g. cobblestones, city hills, stairs without handrails, an absence of elevators, and climbing aboard trains with high steps); some longer walks to get to city centers where coaches are prohibited.
Appropriate for:
- Travelers who are physically fit and comfortable with longer days of touring (both walking tours and coach time).
Active:
Expectations:
- Programs are at a very active pace, with long travel days and a demanding daily schedule of physical activities, i.e. hiking, trekking, kayaking, or bicycling.
- Walking/Hiking tours can be on difficult terrain (up to 14 miles on uneven terrain, city hills, or narrow trails along steep hillsides with no railings).
- Bicycle tours may feature daily cycling of 10 to 25 miles.
- Travelers may be in remote and/or rugged regions with challenging terrain, possibly at high altitudes with steep ascents/descents.
- Leisure time may be limited (sometimes only in the later evenings).
- Accommodations may vary from park lodges to deluxe lodges.
- Travelers carry a daypack for their daily necessities while support vehicles transport all other gear. (Typical travel opportunities: Active Journeys with longer or more rigorous hikes)
Appropriate for:
- Travelers who have a high fitness level, expect a vigorous pace, are comfortable participating in up to eight hours of physical activity per day, and enjoy challenging themselves physically.
Challenging:
Expectations:
- Program at a very challenging pace, with long days and a demanding/challenging daily schedule of physical activities, i.e. hiking, trekking.
- Hiking/trekking tour will be on challenging terrain (up to 15 hours, with altitude up to 19,340 feet, with areas of exposure).
- Leisure time will be very limited (sometimes only in the later evenings).
- Accommodations will be camping tents, but also feature a comfortable lodge at the conclusion. (Travel opportunity: Climbing Kilimanjaro)
Appropriate for:
- Travelers who have a very high fitness level, expect a vigorous pace, are comfortable participating in up to 15 hours of physical activity per day, and enjoy challenging themselves physically.
- A doctor’s certificate will be required for participation in this active journey.

Self-Guided
Self-guided tours are great for travelers who want to discover their locations at their own pace. We take care of details by providing the itinerary, accommodations coupled by train, bus, or rental car we arrange for you, there is nothing left for you to organize. We get you the best prices on all hotels and tours while you enjoy the experience. MTT offers a 24/7 support team, should hiccups occur, you can rest assured that our round-the-clock assistance is only a phone call away.
Guide as Needed
These trips are the perfect middle ground between independence and indulgence. We plan guided tours based upon your activity and need. We will make sure that your trip has a knowledgeable person involved with your itinerary when needed. You will have a balance of independence to do as you please coupled with an activity where one of our expert guides takes care of your adventure. We assure you that our guides and transfer services will provide you with the very best experience. MTT offers a 24/7 support team, should hiccups occur, you can rest assured that our round-the-clock assistance is only a phone call away.
Full-time Guide 24/7
Your trip will have someone with you from the time you land to the time you leave. Our 24/7 guided trips will have one of our local expert guides available to you throughout your experience. They are there to answer all of your questions, anticipate your needs, translate languages, provide advice, and make your adventure joyful.

Quality- Our quality tours are our 3 star hotel experience that all have good reviews. These tours typically are cheaper and may have more people traveling with you. Some of these tours are selected as group tours some are not. If traveling by group our sizes are generally 6 to 12 per group. These tours travel by date with ready set Itineraries. This booking level is great for meeting new friends from different parts of the world. We never sacrifice the high level of integrity we demand in each of our tours, we assure you that every tour is built with care and every detail taken care of.
Premium- Our Premium tours are our 4 and 5 star hotel/boutique adventures. These luxurious tours tailor to the finer side of traveling. We make sure you feel pampered and well taken care of as you travel. These tours can be travel by date with set itineraries or tailor made to your exact desires.
Opulent- Our Opulent tours are tailor made to your indulgence. We will satisfy your every desire and make sure that you stay at only the very finest hotels in the world. You will be pampered with no detail left out.
